In addition, First Interstate offers online banking, mobile banking, mobile check deposit, and over 37,000 ATM locations across the country.

First Interstate Bank has been recognized for outstanding commitment to meeting the needs of small-business owners and entrepreneurs across Montana. FIB is a Preferred Partner for Small Business Administration (SBA) Loans including the SBA 7(a) Loan Program, SBA Express, and SBA 504 Program. MoFi named FIB Montana Lender Partner of the Year for 2022 for referring more businesses to MoFi than any other lending institution in the state.

Driven by its motto, “Built For You,” First Interstate Bank supports the communities it serves through its financial services as well as through volunteerism and philanthropy. First Interstate’s charitable affiliate, the First Interstate BankSystem Foundation, has contributed over $78M toward enhancing local communities since its inception in 1990. The Foundation’s annual Believe in Local campaign awards forty nonprofit organizations $25K in support of their philanthropic work, and each nonprofit is nominated by local First Interstate Bank employees. In 2023, the Foundation gifted $1 million in grants as part of its Believe in Local campaign.

On the second Wednesday of September, First Interstate employees participate in a yearly “Volunteer Day.” All locations close at noon so employees can help their neighbors in need. In 2022, over 3,100 employees lent their strength to volunteer projects across 223 communities, bringing much-needed support to nonprofit organizations. Projects included financial literacy trainings, combating food insecurity, building affordable housing, and creating hygiene and wellness kits for people struggling with homelessness. In 2023, First Interstate received the American Bankers Association’s (ABA) Brand Slam Award in recognition of its public relations and community engagement efforts associated with its 2022 Volunteer Day.

First Interstate seeks the best talent, invests in their growth, and thrives through the achievements of an exceptional team. Employees enjoy a benefits program thoughtfully designed to support them and their families' physical, financial, and emotional well-being. First Interstate frequently hires data warehouse engineers, endpoint engineers, IT help desk representatives, payroll specialists, system administrators, and more across its various branches.
